Accessible Outdoor Strength and Muscle Fitness Equipment

Outdoor strength-training equipment designed to support inclusive exercise, upper-body conditioning, core strength and functional fitness for users of varied abilities in parks, recreation centers, senior fitness areas and community outdoor gyms.

Bench Dip Station - UP253

The Bench Dip Station provides a bodyweight upper-body exercise that targets the arms, shoulders and supporting core muscles. Users position their hands on the elevated handles and lower and raise the body through a controlled dipping motion.

Fitness Focus: Upper-body and core strength

Exercise Type: Bodyweight bench dip

Mounting: Inground

Instruction: Independent instructional signage provided with the station

Accessible Chest Press - UP179

The Accessible Chest Press provides an inclusive upper-body strength workout using smooth resistance. One side allows a user to remain seated in a mobility device, while the opposite side provides an integrated seat for another user.

Users push the non-slip handles forward in a controlled motion, engaging the chest, triceps and shoulder muscles. Isokinetic spring resistance responds to the force applied by the user, providing a progressive strength-training experience.

Fitness Focus: Chest, triceps, shoulders and upper-body strength

Use Zone: Approximately 10 feet 1 inch x 12 feet 6 inches

Accessibility: ADA accessible

Configuration: Dual-user design with seated and mobility-device positions

Accessible Lat Pull-Down - UP180

The Accessible Lat Pull-Down provides an upper-body strength exercise using a controlled downward pulling motion. Users grip the handles and pull downward against isokinetic spring resistance, engaging the back, shoulders and supporting core muscles.

The accessible configuration allows participation from a mobility device while maintaining the same resistance-based exercise approach used in outdoor strength-training equipment.

Fitness Focus: Back, shoulders and upper-body strength

Use Zone: Approximately 10 feet 1 inch x 10 feet 6 inches

Accessibility: ADA accessible

Resistance: Isokinetic spring resistance

Construction: Steel with rust-resistant coating

Accessible Chin-Up - UP229

The Accessible Chin-Up provides an upper-body strength station designed for use from a mobility device. The approximately 5-foot 7-inch reach height makes the exercise bar accessible from a seated position.

Curved hand grips provide multiple grip positions, allowing users to vary hand placement and adjust the challenge while developing upper-body and arm strength.

Fitness Focus: Upper-body and arm strength

Use Zone: Approximately 6 feet 11 inches x 12 feet 4 inches

Accessibility: Designed for use from a mobility device

Reach Height: Approximately 5 feet 7 inches

Accessible Parallel Bars - UP220

The Accessible Parallel Bars create an inclusive multi-user exercise station for upper-body and core strengthening. The layout accommodates both ambulatory users and users with mobility devices, allowing different users to exercise within the same fitness area.

Parallel bars support a variety of controlled bodyweight movements that can help strengthen the arms, shoulders and core while developing stability and functional body control.

Inclusive Outdoor Strength Training

Accessible outdoor fitness equipment helps create exercise environments where users with different mobility levels can participate in strength and conditioning activities. Equipment that provides mobility-device access alongside conventional exercise positions can support both physical fitness and social interaction within the same outdoor gym.

These strength stations can be combined with aerobic, balance, flexibility and core equipment to create a more complete outdoor fitness area for municipal parks, recreation centers, senior communities, schools, residential developments and public wellness spaces.
